Many people feel that sometimes life just goes off track — sudden problems, arguments at home, money blocks, stress for no clear reason. In Indian tradition, one very common and simple remedy people use to remove negative energy or black magic is lemon and chillies. It’s easy, affordable, and something our grandmothers have been doing for years.

This remedy is often linked to devotion towards powerful goddess energies like Goddess Durga and Goddess Kali. People believe lemon has the ability to absorb negative energy, and chillies help to destroy or push it away.

Here’s how you can do it in a simple way.

Take one fresh yellow lemon and seven fresh green chillies. Don’t use old or dried ones. Take a needle and thread, and pass the thread through the chillies one by one. At the end, pass it through the lemon so the lemon stays at the bottom. That’s it — your lemon-chilli string is ready.

Now hold it in your right hand and say a small prayer. You don’t need big rituals. Just speak from your heart. You can chant “Om Namah Shivaya” or simply ask God to remove all negativity and protect your home and family. What matters most is your intention and faith.

After praying, hang it outside your main door or at your shop entrance. Many people do this on Tuesday or Saturday because those days are believed to be powerful for protection. Usually, it is replaced every week.

If you feel someone is affected badly by negative energy, you can gently rotate the lemon and chillies around their head seven times in a clockwise direction. While doing that, pray silently. After that, throw it away at a place outside your home, like a roadside corner. Don’t bring it back inside.

Another easy method is cutting a lemon into four pieces (without fully separating them), putting some rock salt inside, and keeping it in a room overnight. The next morning, throw it away outside.

Along with this remedy, keep your home clean, light a lamp daily, and try to stay positive. At the end of the day, faith, positive thinking, and a peaceful mindset make the biggest difference.
